K1 VineyardKuitpo, Adelaide Hills
The opportunity to be more hands on with the Riesling at Geoff Hardy's K1 Vineyard, right from the start, helped make some interesting decisions.
Tasting the grapes from the vine, we noticed a very slight, natural botrytis. It gave the affected areas of fruit a richness and ripeness. By intentionally allowing this to develop, it gave the finished wine these layers of complexity.
Hang onto it if you have the patience, as it's a wine that will reward with age.
