Been a minute since our last Listening To, so we’re thankful to Brad for putting this together and letting us share it with you.
Brad is consistently named on the line up for the regular Inside Out Dance Club events around Adelaide, under the moniker Bradmanriddim, it's a given to see him at most shows, spinning records and supporting friends and local releases.
Delving into relaxed, atmospheric long winding sounds featuring tracks from Pub and Wilson Tanner, the tone is building up but never thumping. There's some funk vocal energy, like Rare Silk's 'Storm' from 1985 bending to the electronic, with the UK downtempo track 'World Off' by Roza Terenzi and DJ Zozi.
With influences stretching across genres, it's a surprising selection of sounds, keeping us guessing as to where he'd take it next. Listening to a lot of bright, early morning sounds lately, so this mix has settled into a regular rotation at the winery. Warm vocals, upbeat electronic journeys.
